Lord, lead me, guide me, give me the words to say, give me the things to do. Thank you for the healing that still comes in waves, for giving me a voice. When speaking up & speaking out, help me to not cause others to stumble, help me to not break the spirit of others with my words or actions. Help me to know when to reach out my hand & offer a touch. Help me to forgive & help me to love. Just help me.
Most of all, help me to understand. Even when I don't want to, help me to try to understand - a person, their situation, how they got to be where they are ...
